APSCVIR offers benefits to its members, including:

Reduced registration fees for the Society Annual Scientific Meeting
Reduced registration fees for endorsed programmes of organisational member societies.

Member Categories, Qualifications & Rights

Organisational Membership shall be open to all officially recognised representative bodies for interventional radiologists within their territory in the Asia Pacific region. There shall be only one Organisational Member from each territory in the Asia Pacific region.

Individual Membership shall be open to all radiologists with a proven interest in practice, teaching or research in cardiovascular and/or interventional radiology who reside within the territories in the Asia Pacific region as determined by the Executive Committee (hereinafter referred to as the ‘EC’).

An Individual Member shall have completed residency training in radiology and either hold a certification of the board from his/her territory/country in radiology, possess similar academic and medical qualification, or have clinical experience as a qualified radiologist or interventional radiologist.

All Individual Members shall have the right to propose Individual Members for election to the EC and can stand for election to the EC, but shall have no voting rights at General Meetings. Where an Individual Member is elected, appointed or co-opted to the EC, such Individual Member shall be entitled to exercise all the rights and to perform all the duties of an EC Member and to vote at the EC.

Honorary Members shall be persons practicing anywhere in the world who have made outstanding contributions to cardiovascular and/or interventional radiology and related fields or to the Society for a long period, and have accumulated remarkable achievements in the field. Honorary Members shall be elected by the EC upon recommendation by other members.

They shall be excluded from payment of all dues. They have no right to propose Individual Members for election to the EC, no voting rights and shall not be eligible to hold office in the EC.

Associate Members shall be nurses, technologists, physicists, scientists and other allied health personnel who are working in the field of cardiovascular and/or interventional radiology and who reside within the territories in the Asia Pacific region. They shall have all the privileges of Individual Members except the right to propose Individual Members for election to the EC, the right to vote and to hold office. They shall be required to pay all dues and assessments.

Junior members shall be recognised residents in radiology or related fields who reside within the territories in the Asia Pacific region. Application for Junior Membership shall be supported by their respective Organisational Member or Institutional Department Director. They shall have all the privileges of Individual Members except the right to propose Individual Members for election to the EC, the right to vote and to hold office. They shall be required to pay all dues and assessments. Junior Members will be transferred to Individual Membership when they have completed their training in radiology or interventional radiology.

Corresponding Members are members who spend a majority of their professional practice in cardiovascular and/or interventional radiology or related fields but who live outside the Asia Pacific region. They shall have all the privileges of Individual Members except the right to propose Individual Members for election to the EC, the right to vote and to hold office. They shall be required to pay all dues and assessments. Corresponding Members will be transferred to Individual Membership when their place of residency changes to the Asia Pacific region and they are endorsed by their Organisational Member.

Corporate Members are corporations or other organisations, including commercial enterprises, irrespective of their place of incorporation or headquarters, interested in the activities and objectives of the Society. Corporate Members shall nominate one representative who will act as contact person for all membership related correspondence.

Corporate Members shall not have the right to propose Individual Members for election to the EC, nor the right to vote nor to hold office. They shall be required to pay all dues and assessments.

Terms and Conditions

The corporate membership fee does not contribute towards the Annual Scientific Meetings sponsorships.

Corporate membership discounted booth rates at Annual Scientific Meetings (ASM) are subject to respective ASM Organizing Committees’ discretion.
